Pipeline inspection tool
Milwaukee Tool expanded its Modular Pipeline Inspection System to include 200’ Mid-Stiff and 325’ Stiff Pipeline Inspection Reels. In 2021, the company introduced its inspection system designed around the M18 500GB Control Hub with modular capabilities allowing for easy swaps between the 120’ Mid-Stiff and 200’ Stiff Pipeline Inspection Reels. Building on that modularity, the new sizes are also powered by Milwaukee’s M18 Control Hub with One-Key which stores up to 500GB of photos and videos and easily swaps between all reel sizes for versatility, the company states.

Fire-tube boilers
Lochinvar announced the addition of the FTX 1.0 to its line of fire-tube boilers. The FTX 1.0 fits neatly into mechanical rooms with limited space while offering a higher input of 999,000 Btu/h, the company states. The filter system collects debris from combustion make-up air and the unit’s new 7-inch LCD touchscreen display makes it easier for contractors to adjust parameters with minimal effort and provides access to the remote connectivity capabilities for improved ease of installation, Lochinvar adds.

Submersible pumps
The new Franklin Electric Series VI pumps feature use of stainless steel and engineered composite components that are suited for longevity in clean water pumping applications. Internally, each pump is driven by a stainless steel, 7/16-inch hex shaft, and is securely connected to the motor through a spline coupling for efficient power distribution. Additionally, each pump discharge head is supplied with a built-in check valve to allow for a more reliable installation.

eLearning for boiler control
tekmar, a Watts brand, released seven new eLearning modules on its Smart Boiler Control 294. These modules are available through Watts Works Online and include an overview of the 294, typical applications and how to wire the control. Additionally, the training covers the user interface, the sequence of operation and how the 294 supports Internet connectivity and communication. The tekmar Smart Boiler Control 294 offers remote, real-time management of up to 16 boilers in multiple buildings through the Watts OnSite mobile app and the OnSite website. It can be retroactively fitted to any brand of boiler and will send system alerts via text, email and push notifications.

Radiant auto-balancing system
Viega’s Radiant Auto-Balancing System (RABS) gives users the ability to independently control each zone in the system, the company says. Balancing valves are not required and installers can commission as many as eight thermostats and 12 circuits per control unit. RABS achieves the desired temperature in each zone by analyzing the supply water temperature, each circuit’s return temperature and zone air temperatures where a wireless thermostat is used.

Ductile iron fittings
The new LOKX System Ductile Iron Fitting from GF Piping Systems features an internal self-restraining gasket that eliminates pipe-to-pipe and pipe-to-fitting separation, even at high pressures. The push-on style fitting eliminates the need for any bolts or assembly tools, saving up to 80% in installation time and labor costs, the company says.
