ADEY
Black sludge solutions
ADEY has introduced a line of concentrated system treatment formulas, designed to clean and protect older hydronic heating systems and retrofit installs. MC5 Cleaner and MC40+ De-scaler serve different purposes, but both were created to combat a frequently overlooked enemy of untreated hydronic heating systems – black sludge. The MC40+ Hydronic Heating System Cleaner & De-scaler is designed to restore existing boiler systems by removing lime-scale deposits, calcium and magnetite. The second, MC5 Hydronic RAPIDFLUSH System Cleaner, is an advanced-strength product, designed to work with ADEY’s award-winning MagnaCleanse flushing unit, the company explains.

RectorSeal
Water sensor
RectorSeal launched another product to its Safe-T-Switch product line: The patent-pending SSW Multipurpose Water Sensor. With no moving parts to break or become clogged, the SSW Water Sensor is placed directly into a metal or plastic secondary drain pan or on a floor. The SSW’s logic circuit continuously samples the sensor probes for the accumulation of water and determines if its presence is transient or permanent. When proprietary sensors detect as little as 1/16-inch of permanent water, the SSW Water Sensor automatically shuts off the HVAC system. A red LED on the unit’s top cover indicates that the SSW has been activated. The SSW Water Sensor is designed to automatically reset after the water has cleared.

Aquatherm
Digital toolbox
Aquatherm has released its new Aquatherm FieldPro App. Aquatherm FieldPro allows users to log and access multiple projects, and delivers searchable access to all Aquatherm parts, the Aquatherm Installer Manual, Technical Bulletins and the Aquatherm Design & Planning Guide. It works with all Aquatherm-approved fusion equipment.

REHAU
Hydronic fitting system
REHAU announced the addition of R-20 manifold connectors to the EVERLOC+ compression-sleeve fitting line, extending its proprietary fitting technology further into radiant and hydronic applications. The new R-20 connectors are designed for use with RAUPEX crosslinked polyethylene (PEXa) pipes and PRO-BALANCE manifolds.Machined from solid brass with a nickel-plated swivel nut, the manifold outlets are available in 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" sizes. The design features reconfigured bushings for increased accessibility when using larger hydronic circuits.

NIBCO
PressACR flare adapters
NIBCO launched its line extension for PressACR to include SAE flare adapters. Available in sizes ranging from 1/4" through 3/4" O.D., SAE flare adapters are used to transition from refrigeration equipment to the pipe. The press end connection reduces installation time while the patent-pending interior groove design and gray HNBR seal make them suitable for HVACR applications rated up to 700 psi.

ASC-ES
Copper press fittings
SCI Copper Press fittings for plumbing and mechanical systems feature more than 300 individual SKUs, covering both residential and commercial applications, and comes fully supported by free access BIM and Revit content from ASC-ES. The full range of elbows, tees, reducers, caps, adapters, couplings, unions and crossovers are available in sizes 1/2" to 4,” meeting industry regulations for press fittings, including NSF 61, IAPMO and ASME standards, and are approved for use with EPDM compatible fluids They are intended for use with ASTM B88, Types K, L, and M hard copper tubing in sizes 1/2" to 4" and soft copper tubing in sizes 1/2" to 1 1/4".

Caleffi Hydronic Solutions
Union Y-Strainer
Caleffi announced the expansion of the 128 Series union Y-strainers that are ideally suited for use in hot water recirculation or hydronic systems. Constructed of DZR low-lead brass bodies, the 128 Series Y-strainer has dual union connections for 1/2”, 1/4” and 1” pipe sizes and tailpiece connections in sweat, NPT, press, F1960 PEX expansion and F1807 PEX crimp. The Y-strainer comes with factory-installed integral PT ports that allow quick verification of pressure drop across the strainer. The easy to remove strainer cap includes a plug for installation of a field-provided blowdown valve.

Facilities Resource Group
Tankless rack system
The TTS Synergy Series tankless rack solution features a turndown ratio of 66:1 that will provide more than 1,600 gallons of hot water per hour, yet is compact enough to fit through a standard mechanical room doorway. The standard package consists of an aluminum frame rack holding from two to six Noritz NCC199CDV Commercial Condensing Water Heaters with maximum inputs of 199,900 Btu/h and maximum flow rates of 11.1 gpm. Also included are the system controller, water and gas manifolds, expansion tank, breaker box with circuit breakers, digital pump controller with timer, surge protector, building recirculation pump and isolation valves — all pre-installed and pre-piped to the attached water heaters. The installer needs to make only a single connection apiece for the water, power, gas, vent, condensate drain and building-recirculation lines.
