Bosch’s most efficient water heater yet introduces heat pump technology to the electric storage water heater format, transferring heat from outside air into the storage tank to create heated water for distribution throughout the home. Available in 50- and 80-gallon models, this unit includes quiet operation at below 49 dB(A) and back-up heating elements for when faster heat-up times are required. The water heater is eligible for 25C tax credit and other state and utility rebates.

Modine has enhanced its Hot Dawg unit heaters based on feedback from trusted contractors. The Hot Dawg Gas-Fired Unit Heater now includes a dimpled heat exchanger tube, which boosts efficiency and replaces internal baffles, resulting in reduced noise levels. Furthermore, the gas valve manometer connections have been moved to the front, rather than the side of the valve, simplifying the connection process. Additionally, the flame roll-out sensor has been moved to the side of the burner box, making it accessible without having to remove the front panel and the control board has been rotated, so thermostat connections are no longer under the gas valve.

Matco-Norca announced its WMV-2PK Washing Machine Valves in Threaded, Press, PEX, and Cold Expansion PEX options. Each valve features a maintenance-free 1/4 turn shut-off, a top handle (pack of two: one hot, one cold), and is certified with UPC, ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1, NSF 61, NSF 372 for reliability and water safety, the company says. These valves, available in 3/4" sizes, are engineered for long-lasting performance in all your washing machine installations.

Options include a complete assortment of reducing sizes and threaded or street end connections in either copper or forged dezincification-resistant brass. In all, 90 SKUs have been added.

The new design enhancements significantly reduce installation time for ProTerra — the most efficient hybrid electric water heater on the market. the company says. Available in 40-, 50-, 65- and 80-gallon sizes, the ProTerra models include quick install elements such as new top-of-the-tank water connections and a duct-ready design. Built-in Demand-Response-Ready EcoPort and Wi-Fi powered by Rheem’s EcoNet technology provide additional smart features. The built-in LeakGuard system helps protect homes with a 360-degree leak detection and auto water shut-off valve. ENERGY STAR 5.0 certified, ProTerra uses up to 75% less energy compared to a standard electric water heater.

Touchless faucets
Chicago Faucets announced the launch of its new HyTronic TempShield Series touchless faucets. This new product line integrates an ASSE 1070-certified thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) directly into the spout, setting a new standard for safety and efficiency in healthcare patient and staff areas as well as public restroom environments, the company says. The HyTronic TempShield Series offers three spout designs: Gooseneck, Contemporary and Traditional to meet specifier or facility manager specifications.
