Distributors as partners

From the very start, distributors have been core partners to Zurn Elkay. In 1900, an ambitious 26-year-old from Erie, Pennsylvania, quit his job at the Erie City Iron Works, bought the patents and casts for a discontinued backwater valve from his now former employers and set up shop in his mother’s barn. That’s the day John A. Zurn laid the foundation of Zurn Elkay. Led by an entrepreneurial spirit to seek growth by meeting — and exceeding — his customer’s needs, Zurn found success by nurturing partnerships.
