Poehling Seymour and First Supply CFO Todd Restel represent the fifth generation of Poehling family leadership at the 124-year-old company. First Supply is headquartered in La Crosse and Madison, Wisconsin with 48 facilities in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas and Michigan serving numerous channels, including plumbing, HVAC, PVF, industrial, waterworks, kitchen and bath and lighting.

Poehling Seymour has held a number of industry leadership roles including current chairman of the AD buying group Decorative Brands division, American Supply Association Women in Industry division co-founder and past chairman, and she was named the American Supply Association Alice A. Martin woman of the year in 2020. She also currently serves on the American Supply Association executive committee.

COBURN SUPPLY ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS

Coburn Supply Co. announced the promotion of fourth-generation family members Patrick Maloney and Michael Maloney to executive leadership positions. Don Maloney and A.J. Maloney will transition to chairman and vice chairman positions for the board, respectively.

Patrick Maloney, currently vice president and director of sales, will take the helm as president of Coburn Supply. With more than 18 years of company experience under his belt, Coburn noted Patrick Maloney is known for his strong sense of sales leadership, is heavily involved in ASA and with The Commonwealth Group (buying group) and has made an appearance on the Supply House Times Young Executives list.

Michael Maloney brings marketing agency experience and more than 17 years of Coburn Supply's marketing work to the table. Since the beginning of his career with Coburn, he’s helped champion effective marketing strategies and oversees Coburn’s technology initiatives. Currently, Michael Maloney serves as vice president of marketing and current ASA Emerging Leaders division chairman. In this transition, he will take the role of executive vice president.

Meanwhile, Don Maloney will transition from president of Coburn’s to chairman of the board, and A.J. Maloney will transition from executive vice president to vice chairman. Don Maloney has served as past president of The Commonwealth Group (nee Embassy), and both Don and A.J. Maloney were founding members of the group. Don Maloney celebrated his 50th anniversary with Coburn in 2019, and 2021 marks A.J. Maloney’s 45th year with the company. In 2019, they were both recipients of the first Coburn Spirit Awards — an honor given to those who exemplify the core values of Coburn.

Under Don and A.J. Maloney’s leadership, Coburn’s has increased revenue by 400% since 1998, growing its stores from 11 to 54. In that time, they also helped launch Coburn first website and established Coburn Cares, a fund for employees in need after natural disasters.

“We’re all so proud to see these guys make their move into the executive seats for the company. They bring so much talent and experience to our team — you can definitely expect great things from Coburn moving forward,” Don Maloney said.

F.W. WEBB OPENS

WEST HARLEM BRANCH

With the opening of its new location in West Harlem, New York, F.W. Webb Company now has three wholesale stores in New York City.

The new location stocks plumbing, heating, PVF and commercial water heater products and supplies for commercial and residential contractors. In addition, the space includes a private parking lot and a 15,000-square-foot pipe yard.

“This new West Harlem counter store makes us one of the largest supply houses in Manhattan,” said Jeff Pope, F.W. Webb president. “We are proud to serve more customers and further strengthen our distribution network. F.W. Webb is committed to expanding its footprint beyond New England into the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania markets.”

General Manager James Turbide added: “Many of our customers commute from New Jersey and Long Island to do business in the city. This West Harlem location now offers them and other local contractors a convenient location off of Henry Hudson Parkway, free parking and a large inventory, which includes a pipe yard stocked with enough cast iron to supply a high-rise building.”

WINSUPPLY ACQUIRES

ATLANTIC COASTAL SUPPLY

Winsupply completed the purchase of Atlantic Coastal Supply, a specialty plumbing distributor in Greenville, North Carolina. Atlantic Coastal Supply focuses on commercial and institutional customers, including municipalities, schools, hospitals and prisons.

John Meeks, president of Atlantic Coastal Supply, will remain president. Weeks, along with other key employees, plan to make a significant investment in the compa-ny. The Winsupply business model is built on creating successful partnerships with local entrepreneurs in which each location has a team of co-owners along with Winsup-ply Inc.

Atlantic Coastal Supply, owned by Meeks and his sister, Lea Meeks-Blinson, was founded in 1992 by their father.

MUNCH’S SUPPLY

ACQUIRES MARKS SUPPLY

Munch’s Supply has acquired Marks Supply, including its Watermarks division, nine branches, three retail plumbing showrooms and two distribution centers serving the province of Ontario, Canada. This will expand Munch’s geographic footprint to 51 locations serving 16 U.S. states and one Canadian province.

“For almost six decades, the Todd family and the Marks Supply team have proudly served the Ontario market as the leading provider of HVAC, plumbing, hydronics, and pipe, valves and fittings products,” said Bob Munch, CEO of Munch’s Supply. “We are excited to continue growing the business together and upholding the same level of commitment to employees, customers and vendors.”

Marks Supply President Robin Todd added: “We have come a long way since my father started this business in 1962. We are proud of what we’ve built and look for-ward to further accelerating our tremendous growth in partnership with Munch’s Supply.
