Next generation PressACR jaw
NIBCO announced its PressACR 1 3/8” OD jaw that is compatible with the RIDGID and Milwaukee Tool 32kN tools as well as NIBCO’s PC-280 tool. The NIBCO PressACR fitting press end connection reduces installation time while the patented interior groove design and gray HNBR seal make it suitable for high-pressure HVACR applications rated up to 700 psi. The PressACR system is a copper tube joining method that delivers consistent joint quality and is designed to meet the demands of air conditioning and refrigeration applications. Made in Stuarts Draft, Va., from the highest quality, globally-sourced pure copper, PressACR fittings meet stringent certification and compliance standards that support the higher-pressure requirements of HVACR systems.

Steel pipe cutter and cutting blade
Milwaukee Tool introduced the M18 Fuel half-inch to one-inch Steel Pipe Cutter and half-inch to one-inch Steel Pipe Cutting Blade. The steel pipe cutter is optimized for residential service plumbing and mechanical contractors. When paired with the solutions' foldable cut fence, the steel pipe cutter delivers clean cuts. It provides controlled cuts on both installed and new pipes. For installed pipes, the solution’s linear blade actuation ensures square cuts, minimizing alignment challenges introduced by multi-purpose cutting tools. An integrated positive stop further mitigates the risk of overcuts in tight spaces. For new pipes, the foldable cut fence allows one-handed perpendicular alignment, enabling square cuts without the need for a pipe vise. The M18 Fuel Steel Pipe Cutter is exclusively compatible with the M18 Fuel Steel Pipe Cutting Blade. The blade’s tungsten carbide teeth make up to 200 cuts per blade. The steel pipe cutter is fully compatible with the entire M18 line.

Commercial electric storage water heater
American Standard Water Heaters introduced the 80-gallon Light Duty Commercial Electric Storage water heater. The unit includes a six-year tank warranty and a one-year parts warranty. Features designed to help prolong tank life include screw-in dual-heating elements that are manufactured with Incoloy and have low wattage density, a turbulence-inducing dip tube engineered to reduce sediment build-up inside the tank, and a heavy-gauge steel tank and magnesium anode rod. The DuraGlas lined tank is fired at 1,600 degrees Fahrenheit for corrosion protection and is hydrostatically tested and certified at 300 PSI test pressure/150 PSI working pressure. Factory-installed heat traps reduce standby heat loss caused by heat mitigation to water pipes.

Mini-split heat pump line
Fujitsu General America expanded its H-Series mini-split heat pump line with the introduction of the Airstage Altair wall-mounted models featuring R-32 refrigerant. The Altair single-zone series, including the Altair 300, 500 and 700, has capacities from 9,000 to 36,000 BTUh and efficiencies reaching 30 SEER2. Altair has an inverter-driven compressor. On select models, special operation extends cooling capabilities down to negative four degrees Fahrenheit. It has a compact outdoor unit, slim wall-mounted indoor unit, extended line set lengths up to 164 feet and indoor sound levels as low as 19 dB (A).

Single zone switching relay
Hydrolevel Co. introduced the HydroZone, a Single Zone Switching Relay. HydroZone controls circulator pumps via standard 24V room thermostats. Equipped with an LED Zone Fault Indicator, HydroZone blinks if a zone call is not satisfied after three hours. HydroZone includes a resistor, 10VA transformer and C Terminal, as well as a built-in three-second delay Automatic Circulator Short Cycle Protection. Its 2-Option Test Button allows technicians to simulate a call for heat with a press and hold, or enter a two-minute test mode with a double tap.

Combat P-Trap
Cool Air Products introduced the Combat P-Trap for achieving constant drain flow maintenance through a condensate drain line treatment tablet dispensing method. Adaptable for universal applications, the Combat P-Trap prevents blockages of condensation drain lines due to the buildup of bacteria, slime, rust, scale, sludge, airborne dust, silt and algae. If clogs do occur because the cartridge of tabs is empty, users can clear blockages by simply turning the shut-off valve and removing the cap and basket and using a preferred type of device–vacuum, carbon dioxide gun or nitrogen.
