Ten members of the American Supply Association’s Emerging Leaders Advisory Group convened in Rosemont, Illinois in early August to chart a path that ensures the two-decade-plus-old ASA special interest division continues to deliver maximum year-round benefit to up-and-coming, high-potential employees at ASA-member companies.

One key initiative established during the meeting is the formation of a subset of the Emerging Leaders Division that would target those young leaders with ownership/equity, C-suite status within a company or those who are on the precipice of moving into those high-level roles. This new subset is in the early planning stages with more details to follow.

The Emerging Leaders group will also write quarterly articles in both the association’s ASA Review publication and here in Supply House Times (ASA’s official media partner), as well as conduct a series of webinars throughout the year — all aimed at providing emerging leaders in ASA companies with meaningful content to help them in their current roles and with their future career pathing.

The group also continued to plan for EMERGE2026, the Emerging Leaders’ annual conference, which takes place May 18-20, 2026 at Live! By Loews in Arlington, Texas.
