How long have you been in the PHCP-PVF industry?

Seven years – I just celebrated my 7th anniversary with PSC!

What drew you into the industry?

I knew nothing about the plumbing wholesale industry before starting with PSC Distribution. I did know that I wanted to use my skills and time to help people and create beautiful things, and I can do that every day in the Studio H2O Showroom, alongside a wonderful team of colleagues and customers.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working in the industry?

Being part of a larger community - I really enjoy getting to partner with local plumbers, contractors, and designers. I have the privilege of supporting them professionally and personally, and I’m thankful that they do the same for me and PSC Distribution!

What motivates you every day?

I’m most motivated by helping people, whether it’s meeting with a homeowner to select their fixtures or working with a plumber to troubleshoot an issue they’re having with a product. Every day, project, and situation is so different, and I love that I can help customers in so many ways.

What is one thing you wish more people knew/understood about the PHCP-PVF industry?

I wish people understood that there are great career opportunities in the industry and trades! In the Iowa City area, home of The University of Iowa (go Hawks!), I don’t think many view the skilled trades as worthwhile career options when they are so rewarding and vital to the community’s success and growth.

What has been your proudest moment in your career so far?

There have been many moments I’m proud of, but the first time a customer wrote me their appreciation for my assistance stands out. They did not have to take the time to send me their thanks and feedback, but it was so encouraging to me that they did!

What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

In college, I studied Vocal Performance! I don’t sing classically anymore, but I do get to use my studies a bit as a volunteer worship leader at church!
